Originally developed for the Filipinos in the diaspora, this offering seeks to engage new communities through a hands-on experience grounded in cultural preservation, creativity, and connection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The workshop begins with a gentle body-awareness practice designed to prepare participants for the creative process. Participants are then introduced to the fundamentals of handbuilding and guided through the creation of a miniature <em>palayok<\/em> vessel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As participants work with clay, the workshop creates space for open dialogue, shared reflection, and personal exploration. The experience concludes with a period of quiet reflection, inviting participants to consider their relationship with memory, ancestry, and the earth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Participants may take their unfired vessels home, have them fired at a local pottery studio, or return them to the earth through a personal or communal ritual.
